Specific research was conducted to develop a customized COVID-19 disability resources section for the Rehabilitation International (RI Global), website, according to their requirements and membership.

RI Global’s resources include COVID-19 disability information and resources from countries relevant to their work, international organizations, and resources from accessible information and communication technologies.

Global research for the content of three sections for the Disbility Insider portal about: COVID-19, Technology and Around the World, consisting of COVID-19 disability information, assistive technology, information for travelers with disabilities about 84 countries, and resources including news from around the world about the coronavirus pandemic respectively.

The project was funded by the Government of Canada – Social Development Partnerships Program on Disability, and managed by The Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES). Techbility was contracted by GAATES to conduct research on: accessible technologies relating to early warning services (EWS) applicable to adaptation to Canada’s North; and on accessible broadcasting and notification solutions for persons with disabilities.

The project was funded by UNICEF and managed by The Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES). Techbility was contracted to conduct research on: accessible technologies (AT), and specifically assistive technologies and ICTs for use in Education. Research included both high tech and low tech solutions and other AT suitable for use predominately in the Global South.
