The Techbility team is passionate about ensuring websites, Apps and DiDRR technologies are accessible to everyone – including people with diverse abilities and persons who use adaptive and assistive technologies.

We have a multi-disciplinary team of professionals, each of whom is highly-specialized in their field. Whether it is the design and development of accessible websites or mobile Apps; WCAG compliance testers; or researchers and trainers working with our international partners on DiDRR - each and every team members executes with end user functionality and accessibility in mind.

Working internationally, we are familiar with and able to address the multiple global challenges, including; slow and unstable internet connections, and the need to present information in multi-cultural, multi-linguistic formats. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan Techbility also maintains a development team in Delhi, India.

Aqeel Qureshi

Aqeel Qureshi, Founder and CEO

Aqeel Qureshi established Techbility to ensure that technology and information would be accessible to everyone. He is passionate about improving the online experience for persons with disabilities by ensuring that all information systems are accessible to the broadest possible audience, including users of assistive technologies.

With nearly 20 years of experience working in the accessibility field, Aqeel is an internationally recognized expert in the Universal Design and accessibility of website and App development, information and communications technology (ICT) and disability inclusive disaster risk reduction (DiDRR). His experience, knowledge and passion enable him to help organizations and digital agencies make a difference to persons with disabilities by ensuring compliance with international accessibility guidelines and standards. As a disability rights campaigner, he has actively advocated for the rights of persons with disabilities.

Yannis Yallouros

Yannis Yallouros, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Athens, Greece

Yannis is a profound deaf person from Greece. He is a very strong activist for the rights of the persons with disabilities, served in Greek and European Organizations from different board positions under voluntary basis always. He holds a Diploma of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University and a Master of Business Administration from the Open University of Cyprus. Yannis has over 20 years of experience in operating systems, databases and cloud computing and is responsible for the smooth operation of the whole Techbility's infrastructure.

Jules Ernst

Jules Ernst brings more than 10 years of web accessibility expertise to Techbility’s team. Jules believes that accessibility and usability should be the norm: that the Internet should be available to anyone at any time, at no additional cost or effort.

Jules is an expert in compliance testing and his main role at Techbility is inspecting websites for compliance with WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). He has eye for detail and quickly recognizes where things can be better – a technique he uses to assist the Techbility development teams build high quality websites and Apps.
